It’s proving to be a fabulously busy wedding season and Daisy has been to some of the most beautiful venues and delighted Brides, Grooms and wedding guests with delicious ice cream, sorbets and treats, so I thought I’d share some venues with you and you can click through to their websites if you’re in the middle of your venue search.
The first two are beautifully converted barns off the beaten track but still within easy reach of trains and roads and you can do your own thing, you hire in your wedding suppliers so you can really make it your own, these are lovely relaxed venues. The first is Monkton Barn Gallery just outside Marlow in Buckinghamshire surrounded by beautiful countryside and with a fabulous terrace.

Lillibrooke Manor allows you to choose as much or as little of the estate to use for your wedding, the manor house, barn, gardens, courtyard, it’s up to you and then you can make it your own with your chosen suppliers.
The Clock Barn is set amongst rolling fields with a spectacular drive into the venue that makes you feel you really are in for a treat. Catering is provided by the superb Perks Catering, and every effort is made to make sure you feel really special during your time here.

The next one is very close to my heart, Mapledurham House has a working watermill, the only one still working on the Thames and producing stone ground flour, it was one of my favourite school trips many years ago. So I was really excited to be booked for Laura and Robbie’s wedding.
Even better they had booked a field with the beautiful historic Mapledurham House as a backdrop but their celebration were completely self contained surrounded by beautiful countryside with a feeling of being miles from anywhere, but in fact only a couple of miles from Reading.
When I arrived at the gate to the field with Daisy I could see I would have to drive across the field to get to the marquee, as I got closer I realised the window area I was driving towards was behind the top table and the speeches were in full swing! The Father of the Bride did get a few giggles from guests as they watched Daisy slowly travelling towards them across the field behind him! One of those brilliantly unplanned moments.

Wasing Park is truly stunning, around every corner is a beautiful building or gorgeous courtyard set within stunning gardens surrounded by Parkland. The Wasing wedding team have made the most of every inch of this venue. A gorgeous terrace overlooks gardens that give children a lovely area to safely run around and get rid of some of that wedding energy.
Situated in Aldermaston, West Berkshire, the venue has a Honeymoon Suite, wedding guest accommodation and even a Parish Church just a few minutes walk away. They even have a private Helipad.
