After a fabulous year of weddings, events and festivals with Daisy I decided it was time to bring back my chocolate business for the winter. Four years ago I had a very successful Chocolate business but Daisy arrived and the restoration and setting up of Daisy Ices took over my time and finances so the chocolate had to be put to sleep for a little while.
With Daisy Ices now ticking along brilliantly and the diary filling up into 2016 already it seemed like a good time to start having a little winter dabble back in the chocolate. In 2010 and 2011 I won Gold Taste Awards for my Lemon Truffle, Raspberry Truffle and Cherry Truffle and I was interested to see if they still got the same reaction from customers as they did back then.
Along with my range of Gingerbread Houses and edible Christmas Decorations I took the chocolate out and about to Christmas Fairs around Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and London. I was amazed at the reaction and haven’t stopped making and dispatching chocolates for Christmas. You can still order for Christmas, our chocolate isn’t diluted with extra fat and oil so instead of that heavy fat jacket feeling on your tongue you get light, bright real flavours. We have Lemon, Raspberry, Cherry, Champagne, Cinnamon, Salted Caramel in Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate and there’s even a Gin Truffle which is almost overtaking Lemon in popularity this year.
