Exciting news, we were chosen for an #SBS on Sunday by Theo Paphitis. Every Sunday between 5.30 and 7pm small businesses on Twitter are invited to tweet Theo Paphitis about their business in one tweet or 140 characters and he selects his favourite 6 for a Retweet to his thousands of Twitter followers.
It creates lots of extra opportunities for the small businesses that are chosen and increases awareness of what we are doing which in return brings in more business. Plus it’s a massive honour to be chosen out of the thousands and thousands of tweets he gets each week all hoping for an #SBS.
Theo has put together a fabulous website for all the winners to add their profile to and it gives a huge boost to the businesses, it makes that all important link to a website all the more visible to Google and the like. I’ve been sending my #SBS tweet to Theo Paphitis for nearly 2 years, I tried everything, funny, clever, unusual, even adapting the lyrics to Daisy, Daisy to try and get his attention in the end it was this tweet that caught his eye.
I’m looking forward to going to the infamous #SBS get togethers Theo Paphitis puts on, and meeting other winners, many of whom I regularly tweet with but have never met in the real world.
